Contact

Our team looks forward to learning what kinds of support you’re seeking, what questions you have, and how we can collaborate to create what’s next for you.

We invite you to choose the contact form related to your needs. You can expect to receive a response from our team within two business days to discuss how we can support you.

Get started with therapy

At Nido Individual & Family Therapy, we offer free 20-minute phone consultations for all therapy services. In these consults, we can meet by phone to discuss how we can support your needs and direct you to a therapist within our team who will be the right fit for you.

If you already have a therapist in mind, you can skip this form and schedule an initial consult right here.

Reach out to our team

For all other services and inquiries, we’d love to connect with you to get you set up with the answers and support you’re looking for.

Please use this form to reach out about events, speaking and workshops, clinical consultation and business coaching, and anything else you’d like to know about or build with us.

Options for Emergency Care

Because Nido Individual & Family Therapy is an outpatient private group practice, our therapists are unable to provide immediate crisis or emergency response. However, with your permission, we can collaborate with other providers or members of your treatment team to ensure you receive the support you need. We may also discuss scheduling additional sessions or phone calls throughout the week, or, as part of our holistic approach, offer other resources to complement our work together.

Please be aware that your therapist may be in session with another client or away from their work phone outside of business hours. If you experience a mental health emergency, you may choose to do one or more of the following:

  • Text “THRIVE” to +1-313-662-8209 (Non-Carceral Support Line)

  • Call Lifeline at (800) 273-8255 (National Crisis Line)

  • Call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline)

  • Text “HOME” to 741741 (Volunteer Crisis Counselor)

  • Call 911 or go to a nearby emergency room

  • Contact an alternative emergency response team instead of police, if it exists in your local area

Some crisis line workers are mandated to report plans of suicide to the police. If this is a concern, we encourage you to first ask about their reporting policies before sharing.

If you or someone you know is in immediate, life-threatening danger and you decide to call 911, please be aware that police are not equipped to offer mental health support and may even pose danger to people of color, neurodivergent people, and disabled people. We encourage you to also reach out to community leaders, neighbors, friends, and family to provide support if you need to contact the police. Some cities have alternative emergency response teams who can provide fist-responder support during mental health crises instead of the police, and we encourage you to look up whether these services exist in your area.
