Consulting & Mentorship for Clinicians
Community support is a foundational part of therapy—for both clients and therapists.
Every clinician has innate wisdom that we bring to each session and to the running of our businesses, but like our clients, we’re not meant to come up with every answer on our own or go it alone.
At Nido Individual & Family Therapy, we offer thoughtful clinical consultation and business mentorship for clinicians who are ready to receive as fully as they give. When your practice has enough support from all sides, it grows sustainably — not just for your clients or your income, but your own wellbeing too.
Consultation & Mentorship
As a commitment to making care as equitable and accessible as we can for both providers and clients, we want to bring transparency to as much of the therapy process as possible.
During consultation or mentorship sessions, you’ll be working collaboratively with our founder, Sarah Finch, M.A. LMFT, to find solutions to navigate complex cases, create the right-fit guidance for you to expand the scope and intention of your practice, and foster an environment where you can breathe as a full human, not just the therapist who is holding it all.
Sarah has unique experience:
Areas of Focus
In our time together, we can explore avenues of support for any phase of your therapeutic development.
Business Coaching & Consulting
-
Pursuing and tracking CEUs, what supervision entails and how to find a supervisor, how to get a job in a group private practice, where and how to be seen by potential clients, and giving detailed answers to your questions and concerns based on experience
-
Financial considerations and costs, billing, insurance reimbursement, equitable options for sliding scale and needs-based fees
-
Marketing and community involvement, expanding offerings, and navigating team dynamics
Case Consultation & Mentorship
-
Holding intersectionality and providing nuanced sensitivity for marginalized identities, complex trauma histories, and ethical questions
-
Integrating different modalities and somatic techniques into your practice, and walking the professional line of showing up in human way while still holding the therapeutic container
-
Consultation calls, intake and close-out sessions, navigating patterns and establishing helpful practices to use across clients
Professional Advancement & Clinical Consultation
Each session takes place through your choice of either phone or video, and lasts 50 minutes. (Please note that while I can offer insights on the process, consultation and mentorship are not the same as supervision.)
As with any relationship where therapy is involved, the process is not always perfect and we may not always arrive at a clear answer, but we will always cultivate a space for reflection and shared understanding.
Investment
Bring your questions, your cases, and your curiosities and we will co-create a foundation of intention and next steps for your development.
A sliding scale rate is available for associate therapists, and I am open to discussing a discounted rate for recurring sessions.

Meet Sarah
Sarah Finch, M.A. LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the Founder of Nido Individual & Family Therapy Inc.
Well-resourced, cared for clinicians are at the root of Nido’s “mental health care for all” mission. Our founder Sarah aims to provide the knowledge she has from building a sustainable and human-centered therapy practice so it becomes the default of as many practices as possible.
With a background of 7 years of direct clinical experience, over 10 years in the field of therapy, and now as the founder of our private group therapy practice, Sarah offers insights to support both behind the therapy door and behind-the-scenes in a business.
She has unique professional experience working with clients who have complex intergenerational trauma histories and marginalized identities, and is particularly adept at offering support for cases involving sensitive and multilayered topics like abuse and torture survival; depression, ideation, and self-harm; neurodivergent and LGBTQIA2-S+ identities; racial discrimination and cultural stress; grief and loss; and relational conflict.
Sarah’s experience in holding nuanced human needs extends to her consulting and mentorship, and she seeks to meet where you are in your own explorations with the same care, compassion, and attention.
